Antique 1930s Art Deco Bed

You are to absolutely love this bed! Made from the finest oak, this bed is the stuff dreams are made of! Very beautiful! Every inch of this bed is gorgeous. This bed is a prime example of the Art Deco style, a movement in decorative arts that also affected architecture. It derived its name from the World's fair held in Paris in 1925, formally titled the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, which showcased French luxury goods and reassured the world that Paris remained the international center of style. It was a major style in Europe from the early 1920s, though it did not catch on in the U.S. until about 1928, when it quickly modulated into the Moderne during the 1930s, the decade with which the concept of Art Deco is most strongly associated today. This bed is an excellent example of many of the elements that defined this style. Notice the raised paneling in the trim and the headboard; the way these elements blend together to make a definitive statement is incredible. The three-sided footboard is elegant and wonderful. Finding such an incredible bed in this condition is very difficult even in Europe these days because they are getting very scarce! The bed is in very good condition! The best, high-end choice of wood! You will be thrilled with this investment as so few are left for the buying.
