Six Antique Spanish Style Dining Chairs
These are very impressive chairs, primarily because of the beautiful curved and fluted front legs with a large carved stretcher that joins the two together. It is so handsome, it looks like it came from a castle in the hills of Spain. Actually, it is a reproduction of that style made in approximately the 1950's, but it is such a classy look, it will be reproduced again and again, but not in such quality as you find here, that's for sure! It is upholstered in a heavy tapestry that features a combination of flowers and fruit, especially grapes. It is a personal favorite if mine, because I love the richness of the colors against the beige background. The back has two curved slats between two long rods, topped by small finials, with a carved scroll pattern in the center of the top slat. The seats are quite broad, which make them very comfortable for the sturdiest person, and they are extremely stable--you could easily use them every day.
