Antique 1930s Stained Glass Window

This interesting piece of stained glass has a rather storied history. Stained glass, which in the later middle ages was restricted to use in the windows of the churches, is actually colored and painted glass. It had high potash content, which served to promote the brilliancy of the colors. This piece contains several pieces of red and green glass as well as some frosted sections. Symmetrical geometric patterns create the elegant effect that is this window! A white wooden frame that adds a touch of sophistication as well as gives us clues to its origin surrounds the glass. A large metal knob securely locks this beautiful window. Some of the panes are slightly cracked, however this in no way compromises the value of this gorgeous piece. This lovely piece could once again be used as a window. This piece could also be used as an elegant wall decoration or as a standalone piece with lights shining through it to show off the incredible colors. However you decide to use it, this piece is gorgeous and will allow your imagination to run wild.
