The furniture reflected the times; such movements such as Modernism and Art Deco were spawned during this time. This wonderful table, made in the early 1920s, is a beautiful example of the creations of the day. This piece could be viewed as a predecessor to the Art Deco movement as it displays many of the characteristics that made this style popular. Look at the smooth rounded design of the table coupled with the graceful grooved legs. This piece features two retractable platforms that were once used to hold extensions and could be used for that purpose again. New extensions will need to be fabricated for this piece.
