Original Antique French Needlepoint Chair

This is a chair made over a hundred years ago in the traditional Henri II style, with the original needlepoint still on it. The frame is solid oak and the two front legs are handsomely carved and tapered, attached to the grooved stretchers. It is absolutely stable and sturdy, with springs underneath the upholstery. The needlepoint is original and also over a hundred years old, and features a family crest, which looks to us to be a German family. It is surrounded by garlands and scroll work, on a deep burgundy background. What a great conversation piece this would be in an interesting corner in your home--a rare treasure you will always love.
