Antique Louis Xv Oak Master Bedstead French

It has been said that the period of Louis XV was the most gorgeous of the world in its rich and luxurious creations of decorative furniture, a style, which belongs exclusively to France, and to her artists the honor. During this period the cabinet-makers use the curved line more freely, the Rococo influence increases, no classic motifs are found. Cabriole legs assume stronger curves. Bedsteads were less ponderous, with draped and towering canopies over the head. It was almost impossible to find straight lines. This bed is an excellent example of this luxurious style. With petite cabriole legs and an exaggerated curved design, this bed makes the definitive statement of charm, style and grace. The sturdy frame is made of solid oak with such a warm golden glow. Notice the carved latticework on the head and footboards; the delicate seashell motif carving is incredibly refined and elegant. This bed would be perfect for your master bedroom. You could also use it in an elegant guest room. (head) 43.5” tall, 57.5” wide (foot) 28” tall, 57.7” wide
