Six Antique Bruegel Style Dining Chairs

If you are looking for chairs with a lot of charm and character, these are for you! We call them a Bruegel style because they have a scene carved on the back of each chairs that is a normal peasant scene, reminiscent of the paintings of Peter Bruegel, a famous Flemish painter. On these chairs we have two men sharing some good ale! The backs have a gentle curve for maximum comfort, and both the side columns are grooved, topped with a rounded finial. Notice the top has a nice cutout in the center, curved and grooved. The seat is unusual because it is not a drop in seat, but rather it wraps around the three sides, permanently attached. It is upholstered in a beautiful thick tapestry with a floral motif against a deep hunter's green background. Not admire the cup and saucer front legs, with the wide urvged and groofed stretfcher in front. This is so handsome, and certainly not a boring old normal chair! They have a wide seat, suitable for anyone to use, they are solid oak and completely durable and solid. These are sure to be admired by everyone and bring much enjoyment to you and your family for the ages to come!
