Companion Oil On Canvas Original Paintings

These are so typical of what you would see in Sweden that I absolutely couldn't resist buying them. I have many relatives in Sweden, and this last summer we vidsited them because my uncle died--so it was a happy occasion and a sad occasion. While we were there we visited several flea markets (of course!) and these two paintings absolutely caught my eye. The little red houses in the meadow with huge pine trees behind them are such a normal wonderful sight--these little houses are called "Svenska Stuga." They are so picturesque and typical. The neighborhood street with the houses right up to the sidewalk could be the street where some of my relatives live, including the bright yellow house and the climbing roses. This is Sweden pure and simple. Even the artist's name is typical--Eric '79! Notice they have framed them in such a straight pine frame--just like the Swedish style of furniture these days, straight and simple lines. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who has any connection to Sweden. You will be able to bring this countryside home and enjoy and enjoy!
