Antique Malineoise Style Oak Corridor Table

This is a wonderfully carved table that is meant to be placed flat against the wall, and is perfect for the hallway or entry way of your home. It will support any number of items that you would wish to display, or just be a handy place for depositing keys and wallets as you walk in the door. Notice the great lionheads on either side of the table, that were carved in solid oak, including the brass rings through their mouths. This is typical of the style of furniture made between 1860 and 1900 in Mechelen, just north of Brussels, Belgium. The lathe-turned legs are thick and wide, with a beautifully carved cup and saucer ball in the center and are great support attached to a curved carved stretcher. This is a table you will always love and in fact, you will wonder what you ever did without it! (And all the time you will be happy with the increased value!)
