Stylish Antique Louis Xv Rocaille Style Dresser

The mirror has a fabulously carved "coquillage" top that is somewhere between the style of Louis XV and Rococco. It features a flared seashell with scroll work and flowers. The mirror is in three parts with the two side panels that are adjustable, so you can see every side of your "coif" and make sure you are just right! The white marble on the top gives a great contrast against the golden oak, and has the a top shelf and curved sides, that provided a "splash" in days of old when the large bowl and pitcher of water was used for washing your face and hands. Notice the lovely curved raised panel on the two dove-tailed drawers of the cabinet, and the ample storage space behind the nicely carved front doors. Very prominent on this piece are the two front cabriole legs that hae a very wide flared seashell spread across the fat knees, meticulously carved in great detail.
