Two Antique Louis Xvi Style Side Tables

These two tables are made of solid oak, probably around the beginning of the 1900's. They have thick gray marble tops with rust and white veining. This marble was quarried in Belgium and is no longer available, which makes these tables all the more valuable! Notice the beautiful ornate trim on the corners and the oval in the center of the front door. You have a large space between the top of the table and the door, where a lovely plant or ceramic piece could be featured, or certainly stacks of your favorite reading books! The shelf on the top of one of the doors is split, but that is a natural thing to happen to a solid piece of oak, this old--it certainly validates it's age! These are great tables for flanking either side of the bed, or placed between chairs, or actually any number of places in your home! Louis XVI is always a popular style and will always be in vogue, and as the years go by the value goes up!!!
