Two Beautiful Unique French Style Needlepoint Armchairs
These are two extraordinary needlepoint chairs with a design that I have never seen before. One outstanding feature about these chairs is the fact that all the flowers in the seat, arms and back have been outlined in black stitching, which makes them stand up and out of the ordinary. Even the ribbon garland that grames the scene on the back and the seat is outlinerd in black. The seats and back have been done in a petit point, which is very tiny and takes an incredible amount of concentration and time to complete. There is a full bouquet of spring flowers on each seat, and the backs feature the Lord and OLady of the manor--all done in tiny little petit point! Notice the gorgeous carved frames with the Louis XV style curves and carved flowers at the knees and crown and front of the chairs.
