Two Vintage Woven Gobelin Style Companion Tapestries

Tapestries are always a wonderful way to bring warmth and character to a room, and these are full of the medieval charm of the hunt! The hunt was such a great event in the medieval lives of the royalty--such a great occasion! Men and women dressed in their finery, astride their decked out horses, with the serveants on every side, horns and bugles blowing, and banners waving! Such an event! I think it is unique to find these two companion tapestries to go together, making it different from ordinary. The colors are rich deep green of the forest, withg the light of the sky and horses, and the rich crimson of the clothes of the royalty. They both have a wide border of foliage. They were woven in Belgium, where they are reknown for the quality of their tapestries throughout Europe. Now is the time to take advantage of all the hours spent in searching the flea markets and vendors throughout Belgium and the treasure we have found for our site!
