Two Antique Castle Chairs
These are truly chairs that would be right at home in any chateau in France! The frames are solid oak, and meticulously handcarved to perfection! Look at the acanthus leaves that begin at the top of the arms and then scroll around the edge of the arms, and then follow down the legs and notice the heavy bear claw feet that grab the floor. Now notice the intricate large stretcher that is carved between the two front legs. The carving on these things is absolutely incredible! They are very large size--47" tall, 29" wide! Fit for a King! The tapestry is a done in a large floral pattern in shades of green, brown and gold--perfect for the French influence of the chairs! There is an elaborate nail-head trim surrounding the high back and large seats of the chairs, giving wonderful definition and class.
