This is a great table that would be perfect for a desk or small kitchen table. It is made of European oak, very rich and dark in color, beautifully carved, especially around the apron of the table, and notice the impressive lion heads on each corner--great protection, if you need it! The four legs are lathe-turned with curved stretchers attached to the center thin columns and a row of finials across the bottom. This style is called "Malineoise" because it was made in a town north of Brussels, called Maline. They made this particular style there between 1860 to 1900, and they were so well made and so handsome that they became famous in their own right. This table we estimate to be over 100 years old – the top of the table has a few splits in the wood that will not deter from its value, but add to the authenticity of its age. Imagine this unusual style in your home and all the charm and character that it will bring, and then imagine the value in investment that it will be year by year, and then decide that it is for you! You will never regret it!
