Heavy Antique Silverplate Service For Twelve

This is a really fabulous set of silver plate dinnerware purchased from an estate sale in Belgium. The service is actually made in Germany, as we see that the pieces are all stamped “Silber 100” and the blades of the knives are stamped “Solingen Rostfrei” which in German means “Silver 100” and “Solingen (the town in Germany where it was made) Rust Free, which means the blades are a rust free stainless steel. The wonderful thing about this set is that they are very heavy pieces, and large, and in each pattern there are enough for twelve servings—an incredible find! The pattern is also very elegant with an intricate lifted curved pattern on all the handles. Notice the large soup spoons, and knives, complimented by the smaller set of knives and spoons, as well as the large forks complimented by the smaller forks and the hors d'oeuvres forks. So all together you have 12 large spoons, 12 large knives, 12 large forks, 12 small spoons, 12 small knives, 12 small forks, and 12 hors d'oeuvres forks, making a total of 84 pieces!!! FANTASTIC! This is a wonderful find and one you won't want to miss out on. Imagine the glory of this setting at your next dinner party! You will surely be the hostess with the mostest with a silverware dinnerware set like this, and it is truly something no one else will be able to match! NOTE: the set includes a chest lined with felt with a space for each piece.
