Intricate Antique Renaissance Style China Cabinet
This is truly an exquisite piece of furniture, with so many worthy features, it is hard to know where to begin. My favorite part is the leaded stained glass windows, with shades of amber, amethyst, pale green and blue. The center pattern resembles a simple family crest. There are two glass shelves behind the windows which make for excellent display, whether it is the family china or book collection—they will show well. Look at the detailed carving on the sides of both the top and bottom pieces—fierce merchants at the top and bear claw feet at the bottom, including the same pattern of family crest as is displayed in the windows. There is massive carving on the two front panels on the bottom sections, and also a shelf behind the two doors for more storage. The piece is supported by the wide cup and saucer legs. The wood is a medium dark oak. The feeling is definitely old world and far away from another time and wonder. This is a piece that will bring a charming old atmosphere everyone will admire.
