Original Louis Xvi Deacon’s Bench
This wonderful deacons bench is a beautiful example of the craftsmanship dedicated to the Church. Made from European hardwood, this piece is covered in awesome carvings. An urn is carved in the center of the main expanses of the back and base, accented by distinct Louis XVI style garlands and crosses. Intricate accent carving frames each individual piece for a divine effect. Pillars support the armrests, which have scrolled ends. A large cupboard under the seat provides plenty of storage space and was traditionally used for storage of items a priest might use during mass. This piece is gorgeous!
