Ntique Dark Oak Louis Xv Style Wardrobe
This is definitely a WOW piece! Anyone who walks into your home and sees such a piece of furniture is going to be impressed! The most outstanding feature, to me, is the incredibly beautiful dark oak from which it is crafted. The style is relatively simple, and superbly elegant, with the deeply carved large flared seashell at the crown of the wide molding that stretches across the arched top of the wardrobe. There are three wide doors, with fine brass finial hinges, and elegant brass escutcheons. Notice the raised panels that are formed in the flowing arches that are so well loved with the Louis XV styling. Also notice the finely carved motif in the bottom panel of the center door. Behind the right door is a set of three shelves giving ample storage space for folded articles. Behind the other two doors you will find a wide open space with attachments on either side to attach a rod—perfect for hanging clothes. Notice the three drawers across the bottom with the carved seashells on either side of them, and then go down and admire the arched apron that stretches gracefully across the bottom and connects to the two cabriole legs on either side. Also don't forget to notice the panel construction on the sides of the wardrobe. This is a quality piece, finely crafted in Belgium and ready to bring to you some of the royal feeling of King of Frances—right inside your own little chateau.
