This is truly a remarkable set of six antique Tudor dark oak chairs. The set includes 2 captain armchairs and 4 regular chairs without arms. These chairs are solid and will be great for your everyday use, as well as for those formal evenings. Look at the splendid scrolled carvings on the back of the chairs. The rose pattern is amazing and very prominent in the Tudor style. The chairs’ front legs were created in a modified cup and saucer design. The stretcher in the middle provides the chairs with more stability. They are nice addition to these fabulous chairs. The 2 captain chairs have nice sleek arms that curve at the end. The seats of these chairs are great! These chairs have been re-upholstered in a fabric found in France and was a limited addition fabric. When we purchased it in Europe there was little left. The fabric was sold by St. Pierre Tissus at the bottom of Mount Martre. It is a wonderfully colored fabric with a beautiful blue background featuring gold and red medallions and plums. You will love this set of six!!
