This is a totally charming piece of furniture finely carved in oak, with a slanted drop down front that rests on two thin pullouts underneath. Behind the drop down front you will find four little drawers and a shelf, perfect for storing letters or correspondence, With the front dropped down it makes a great writing surface, so that you have a gorgeous piece of furniture, and yet functional as a desk, putting beautiful style in a small amount of space. Notice the excellent detailed carving on the front of the drop down, and also the matching patterns on each of the three drawers underneath the top, including dovetailed joints, which is a mark of the quality of construction on this piece.
