Wonderful Antique French Country Oak Armoire
This is a piece of furniture that literally radiates the warmth and glow of solid oak. We can truly thank the forests for this treasure, and appreciate the years of growth and development that produced such a beauty. The middle and left door open to a wide space where clothes could be hung on the rod across the top. The right door is decorative only. Notice the subtle arch of the heavy carved cornice across the top, filled with art deco flowers. Look at the carved flowers on raised panels of the two side doors. A very outstanding feature of this armoire is definitely the full size beveled mirror on the middle door, and the paned mirrors on each door. You will be surprised to see how these mirrors will open the room and make it seem as though there is much more space than before! There are two dovetailed drawers underneath feature amazing carvings. The two sides have inlaid panels and the entire piece is edged beautifully with trim carvings.
