This incredible piece is an amazing example of Art Deco style. Art Deco is movement in decorative arts that also affected architecture. It derived its name from the World’s fair held in Paris in1925, formally titled the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, which showcased French luxury goods and reassured the world that Paris remained the international center of style. It was a major style in Europe from the early 1920s, though it did not catch on in the U.S. until about 1928, when it quickly modulated into the Moderne during the1930s, the decade with which the concept of Art Deco is most strongly associated today. The proliferation of inlaid wood in geometric patterns is a common theme in this style and can be seen in abundance on this piece. Look at the lines on the side of the accent cabinets! This piece is made with such wonderful care and grace that you are sure to fall in love with it instantly! Notice the cut glass display area; each individual piece is arranged in an attractive geometric pattern. Carved flower medallions accent the lower cabinet doors. This piece offers plenty of storage space in the cabinets and dovetailed drawers. Wouldn’t this striking piece look wonderful in your home? *Note the glass is broken on the top left side. -nnoc190
