Stunning Antique Rocaille Style Two Door Wardrobe
The Rocaille style is the most opulent, intentionally excessive version of the Louis XV form. It is characterized by exaggerated curves and extensive carving, sculpting, and ornamentation, most commonly including scrolls, seashells and acanthus leaves. This is a lovely doubled mirrored wardrobe in glowing golden oak. The lines flow in the classic Rocaille style, with the doors featuring a lovely curved panel inlaid with fabulously large beveled mirrors. Mirrors such as these will give any room an enlarged appearance. The wide cornice flows gracefully across the top and is crowned by the signature- flared seashell of Rocaille, and is supported by the classic cabriole legs. Right away you will notice the fabulous brass hardware, which features fabulously intricate Rocaille shells. The straight lines of this piece are quite elegant. Behind the doors you will see a rod across the entire space for hanging clothes as well as a shelf for laying your sweaters on.
