The Rocaille style is the most opulent, intentionally excessive version of the Louis XV form. It is characterized by exaggerated curves and extensive carving, sculpting, and ornamentation, most commonly including scrolls, seashells and acanthus leaves. Made from incredible European hardwood in the impeccable Rocaille style, this dresser glows! Right away you will notice the fabulous brass hardware, which features fabulously intricate Rocaille shells. The straight lines of this piece are quite elegant. Notice the beautiful mirror on the back of this wonderful dresser. Hand beveled and gorgeous this is an awesome addition to this wonderful piece. This mirror is housed in a stunning oak frame, which is both sturdy and beautiful. Fluted trim along the top of the mirror blends with the large carved crown. The most outstanding feature of this piece however, is the incredible salmon marble top. This gorgeous marble was quarried in Belgium and is no longer commercially available. This dresser has ample storage space with drawers and cupboards. The apron features beautiful carved scallops that are just amazing. The corners feature long running grooves met by exquisite carvings on the knees of the petite cabriole legs. This dresser would look perfect in your master bedroom. But why limit it to where others can’t view its old world beauty? This piece should hold a place of honor in your home. Wherever you decide to use this incredible piece, you are sure to absolutely love it!! c677oc338
