Antique Oak Carved Wall Shelf
This is a wall shelf carved in oak, and imported from Belgium. The style is quite renaissance, indicated by the carved face in the middle of the shelf, which looks like an mportant business man ready to make his fortune. On either side you find carved scroll work in the recessed panel, which is grooved and softly curved. There are six brass hooks across the bottom scallops, with the lady and lord embossed at the top. The top of the shelf has a double groove which is perfect for supporting china plates you might want to display. A shelf like this is perfect for the entry way where jackets and coats could be hung, and spare keys and wallets could be placed on top.
