Antique Early Frenchy Dark Oak Sideboard
This is a rare piece of craftsmanship that exudes old French charm in every inch of it. First of all the warmth of the dark oak is enough to bring comments of delight from all who see it. The hand carved panels on all the doors are so deep and detailed, they almost jump out. The elaborately scrolled pattern, including the seashell accents are soooo French and certainly give an elegant feeling to the whole piece. There are plenty of shelves behind the doors with ample storage room for anything your heart desires! Not to mention the space in the dove-tailed drawers. Notice the raised panels on the sides, and the deeply carved and curved, and the wide cabriole legs that support the whole piece. This is a piece from Old France that is so loved by Europeans that they almost never give them up--they only hand them down from one generation to the other, so the fact that we were able to acquire this set at all is a stroke of luck for us.
