Incredible Needlepoint Armchair

What is uncommon about this chair is the fact that every inch of the upholstery is a finely woven tapestry. The base color for the tapestry is a light blue with delicate white leaves embroidered throughout. The magnificent vase of flowers that graces the seatback and the seat itself are done in painstaking detail. The process by which these flowers were created is called “petite point” (Pronounced petty-point). In this process, smaller stitches are used to create finer details.
